ABOUT
Nishtha Vashist is a seasoned interior designer with seven years of experience in the industry. She presently resides in Seattle, WA, with her origins in India. Over the years, she has established herself as a specialist in immersive and interactive spatial experiences and is known for her clean, simple, and minimalistic approach to design.
Early in her career, as a retail designer, she worked with a variety of clients, including large corporations, global brands, boutiques, startups, and everything in between. This provided her with a deeper understanding of business and brand requirements, but she longed to gain more exposure in spatial design. This led her to move into residential interior design, a field that offered her the opportunity to work more closely with clients and practice empathy-driven design. Working on a variety of residential projects, ranging from tiny apartments to luxury villas, broadened her design practice and evolved her as a designer.
Currently, as a senior interior designer, she manages and mentors junior designers and collaborates with clients to understand their design preferences and budgetary constraints. She also conducts site visits, researches design trends, develops detailed floor plans and 3D renderings, selects materials and specifies all interior finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories. She continuously strives to push the boundaries of what is possible in interior design by staying on top of the latest trends, processes, and innovations.
With strong project management skills, she ensures each project runs smoothly from start to finish, stays on schedule and within budget, and meets industry standards and regulations. Her passion for excellence extends beyond project completion, as she provides post-occupancy evaluations and recommendations for improvement to ensure complete client satisfaction.
